My friend Denise (aka Makhu), is having her film screened in Brooklyn today at 6:30pm, for her documentary Khayalami, which is about her struggle to keep her African traditions & customs alive, while living life on the Western side of the world (Ah-mer-i-cah, in case your geography is as bad as mine).

The screening is presented by Reel Sisters, and there will be other original documentaries shown as well. Attendance is free simply rsvp, so come out and support the arts!

Rsvp for the event here.

The venue is located at BRIC, 647 Fulton Street, Brooklyn. Trains: 2, 3, 4, 5 to Nevins.
